## Let traders see each other's listed items

On, tapping a username opens the items that trader currently has **on a live listing
post**: name, condition, price and one photo, with each row linking to the post it is
on. Never the description they wrote for themselves, and never anything pending or
already traded.

<Note>
  Items a trader has not posted are never shown here, even when they are available.
  Anything one trader can see of another's has to be something the owner published
  under their own name, so a reader can open it in context and report it if it needs
  reporting. An inventory nobody has posted from is a private workspace, and it stays
  one.
</Note>

A consequence worth knowing before somebody asks: a trader whose listings have all
expired shows an empty screen, because listing posts age out after 90 days. They have
not hidden anything and nothing is broken: they have nothing currently posted. The
same is true right after they delete a post.

It also lets someone answering an offer counter with an item the other side did not
put on the table.

Off closes the screen for everyone immediately, including mid-negotiation. It
cannot unsay an item already named in a public comment.

## Deletion windows

<Warning>
  The idle window defaults to 180 days, and it is the one default that changes
  behaviour rather than preserving it. The first inventory sweep after installing
  deletes items untouched for six months.
</Warning>

To keep everything, set both item windows to 0 before the sweep runs. It runs
hourly. 0 on the traded window alone means "follow the idle window".

* The clock is the last time an item was edited, listed or marked traded, not when
  it was added.
* An item in an open trade is never deleted at any age.
* The 90-day floor is fixed. A listing post keeps its own copy of the items it
  advertises for 90 days, so deleting sooner makes traded items reappear as
  available on live posts.
* Deletion happens on the hourly [inventory sweep](/moderators/scheduled-jobs), not
  on save. A large subreddit takes several runs for a full pass.

## Max items one trader may hold

The 200 ceiling is fixed. A trader above it sees their newest 200 and is told so.

Lowering the cap deletes nothing. Traders above the new limit keep everything and
can still edit, list and delete. They cannot add until they are back under.

## Not configurable

* A deleted Reddit account's items are always removed. Reddit gives no signal when
  an account is deleted, so Trade Post checks and purges after a waiting period.
* An item stuck on a trade that no longer exists is always freed.
