# Mod tools

> The moderator screen in the hub.

Open the pinned hub post. Moderators see a shield in the header, which opens **Mod
tools**. Nobody else sees it.

  A newly added moderator can wait up to ten minutes for the shield to appear.
  Reddit does not announce team changes, so Trade Post re-checks periodically.

## Look up a trader

Enter a username, with or without the `u/`, and press **Look up**.

Returns what Trade Post recorded in this subreddit: trades resolved here and the
ones that went wrong. It is not a reputation score and knows nothing about other
subreddits.

**Counters.** Completed, Backed out, Ghosted. A counter your subreddit does not
track shows a dash and a **Not counted here** chip rather than a zero.

**Rows.** One per resolution, newest first, up to 100. Each carries a verdict chip
(*Against them*, *They were left hanging*, *Neither side moved*, *Not a party*), a
one-line summary, the stated reason if they backed out and typed one, and a link to
the thread.

**Empty result.** Means Trade Post has no record, not that the trader has a clean
one. They may have traded before you installed it, or elsewhere.

The name you look up is never sent for analytics.

## Ledger card

Two buttons: **Open the ledger** and **Rebuild trade counts**. Both are covered on
[the ledger page](/moderators/ledger).

## Reports

Traders can report a listing or an offer from inside the app. **Those arrive in
your normal modqueue, not here**, alongside every other report your subreddit
gets, and you action them with Reddit's own tools.

They are filed by the Trade Post app account rather than by the trader who sent
one, because Reddit gives an app no way to report as somebody else. So the
account on the report is not the reporter, and the reason is one of five fixed
options: Spam, Scam or fraud, Prohibited item, Harassment, Something else.

There is no setting for this and no way to switch it off. Traders can only report
what somebody else published, never their own posts and comments.

## Not available

* Nothing deletes, voids or decrements a recorded resolution. Records expire on
  their own clocks.
* There is no moderator view of the trade queue, pending items, or anyone's
  inventory.
* Corrections run through **Rebuild trade counts** or through Reddit's own tools.
  Editing a trader's flair by hand works: Trade Post reads whatever number is there
  on their next completed trade and increments it.
* Deleting a back-out comment does not erase the record.
