Features
Guided composer. Traders pick items from their inventory, then fill in the details on a screen that shows the generated title as they type. Trade Post generates the title in your subreddit’s format: region tag,[H]/[W]
tags, price convention. A listing that breaks the rules is never posted.
Private inventory. Items are entered once and reused. Marking an item traded
updates every live post advertising it.
Offer inbox. Making an offer posts a real comment, as the trader, in the
listing’s thread. The app adds ordering, so serious offers are a list rather than
buried replies.
Two-sided trade record. Each side marks tracking added, sent, received. Both
confirm and the trade completes, updating the trade count. A trade nobody finishes
closes at a deadline and frees both sides’ goods.
Trade ledger. Every resolved trade lands on a mods-only wiki page with a
permalink to the thread.
Limits
- No money. No payments, escrow, held funds, or links to payment sites. A payment method is recorded as text.
- No arbitration. Both parties confirm outcomes and the app keeps the record.
- No cross-subreddit data. Storage is separate per community. No public reputation score, no searchable trade history.
- Short retention. Almost everything expires. The durable record of a trade is the Reddit comment it produced.
Surface
